Chris Heide is currently at work to facilitate a youth exchange between Nova Scotia students and young people in the Nunavut community of Pangnirtung that he describes as his "second home." A workshop planned for the winter of 2010 will explore the possibilities with the exchange tentatively planned for the following summer.

2007 UK Exchange:
In May of 2007 Mermaid Youtheatre carried out an exchange project with The Playbox Theatre in Warwick, England. Twenty-one young people from the Valley and the South Shore travelled to Warwick for a week long residence where they stayed with young members of that theatre company. During the time there, our group offered workshops, took workshops, performed, observed performances and toured to local attractions, most notably The Royal Shakespeare Theatre complex in nearby Stratford-Upon-Avon!
